Hospital Activities

At Bellevue Medical Center, creating positive healthcare experiences starts from childhood. As part of this commitment, Bellevue Medical Center hosted its annual Teddy Bear Clinic over two engaging and educational days, welcoming around 400 children from 6 schools.

Introduced at Bellevue Medical Center in 2017, the Teddy Bear Clinic remains a unique initiative in Lebanon inspired by an internationally recognized and evidence-based concept to help children become familiar with the hospital environment in a fun, safe, and reassuring way, helping reduce fear and anxiety often associated with hospitals and medical visits.

Throughout the event, children brought their favorite teddy bears and dolls to experience a simulated hospital journey through a variety of interactive stations. Guided by healthcare professionals and staff members, the children explored Admission, Ambulance, First Aid, Physician Consultation, X-ray, Laboratory, Anthropometric Measurements, Hand Hygiene, Nutrition, Pharmacy with Puppet Show, Coloring Station, and enjoyed meeting Bellevue’s mascot, Tedy.

Through play-based learning and hands-on interaction, children had the opportunity to better understand the role of healthcare professionals, discover healthy habits, and build trust in medical environments from an early age.

The Teddy Bear Clinic reflects Bellevue Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to compassionate, person-centered care and community wellbeing, creating moments that educate, reassure, and leave lasting positive memories for children and their families.
