Hospital Activities

On December 10, 2025, Bellevue Medical Center, in collaboration with the University of Balamand Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, organized an HIV awareness session at the Dekwaneh campus. The event brought together more than 130 medical students, reflecting a strong interest in public health education and responsible medical practice.

The session was led by Rabih Hallit, Professor and Chief of the Infectious Diseases Service at Bellevue Medical Center. It focused on key scientific facts about living a normal life with HIV, recent advances in prevention and treatment, and the importance of addressing misconceptions and reducing stigma surrounding the condition.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, highlighting the students’ critical thinking, ethical awareness, and commitment to evidence-based medicine. This initiative aligns with Bellevue Medical Center’s mission to support medical education, promote informed dialogue, and contribute to a more knowledgeable and compassionate healthcare community.
