With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Professor Charaf Louis Abou Charaf is a specialist in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
Prof. Abou Charaf started his journey at Stockholm’s highly esteemed Karolinska Institute. He studied and worked in Sweden before returning to his home country of Lebanon after 18 years.
A respected professor at the University of Balamand’s Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Lebanese American University’s School of Medicine, he is also a member of the Deans Committee at the Lebanese German University.
Over the course of the years, Prof. Abou Charaf has served in a number of roles to advance the medical field. From 2010 to 2013, he was the Head of the Lebanese Order of Physicians in Beirut and was reelected for a second mandate in 2019. He was also selected as President of the Order’s Disciplinary Board from 2010 to 2013, and was appointed President of the Free Trade Union in 2012.
